    Default DEGX1 roaring

Our DEGX1 has developed a roaring when running. Can you give some
    input on fixing this problem.

    Good morning...
    Things you can check-
There is a bearing on the center of the drum on the right side of the drum as you stand in front of the machine. (this is inside the drum and you get to it with the lid open and no clothes in the dryer of course) The bearing cover is held in place by a single metric allen-head bolt. Remove that bolt and the small cover, and inspect that bearing for signs of wear and metal shavings.
There is a dual-idler system for supplying tension for the drive belt. The pullies are known as "jockey pullies". Look for signs of wear in that area.
There is a blower wheel on the end of the drive motor shaft. This wheel is easily visible if the vent hose is unconnected from the back of the dryer, you can look right in the port and see if anything is caught in the wheel making noise. if you are advanced with tools, you can also tip the main assembly forward and view the idler system and blower.

let us know if we can provide any further assistance. I would check that drum bearing first and foremost.

PS: If you are the person who rang the live help line a few moments ago, I am sorry I was not able to answer it in time, I was helping another customer.

The lint screen and outlet are on tle left and the bearing in question is on the right side of the drum looking in. Hope this helps.
