    Default Dishdrawer Noise

    Hello New here My single dishdrawer ( DS 603) began make a noise this noise comes on the minute that it starts and stays on the whole cycle, the noise is a whining noise that varies in loudness I removed the motor rotor and there is a small nick or gouge out of 1 impeller . Also there appears to be maybe a chipped part of the motor rotor housing if some one please provide a close pic of the inside of this rotor housing I would know for sure .I don t want to purchase a rotor if i need the whole motor rotor assemble Thank you Kerry

    Hi Kerry. When there is a nick on the impeller it can cause a noise. There is supposed to be a small "rise" at the bottom of the pump base towards the front of the pump base.

    Normally nicked impellers require only replacement of the motor rotor and not the base. It's going to be difficult to determine from a photo if you have an issue with the base, as there are various surfaces and textures in the pump base. A motor rotor should be all you need, of course we are not there to see. Usually with the double drawers, you can simply swap rotors between drawers for testing. Obviously with a single this is not an option for you.
